Jamey Emmert from the Ohio Department of Wildlife will present a transfixing program on Ohio’s snakes on Monday, July in the Community Meeting Room. Face your fears and join Ranger Jamey to learn more about these amazing, sssslithery beings. If you’re brave enough, you might even get to touch one! This program is free and no registration is required.
On Friday, July 3 Minerva Public Library Youth Services will host CAPED CRUSADERS and COMICS from 11:00-2:00. The lunch program is on holiday, but the library will be open, so drop in for our Super Hero activities. Please bring a t-shirt which you can transform into a super hero cape. Create your own super hero character and comic and use you super powers in our game area.This program is for all ages and no registration is necessary.
Join GATOR DAVE and his ANIMAL SUPER POWERS presentation at our BOOK BLAST program, Friday, June 26 from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Improve your nutrition this summer and enjoy something new. Join us Monday, June 22, at 7:00 pm in the Community Meeting Room as Chris Kendle gives us the scoop on Superfoods. Chris is with the OSU Extension Service and will provide nutrition tips, demonstrate recipes, and of course, hand out free samples. This program is free and no registration is required.
Join Officer Eric Stanbro and his K-9 partner at BOOK BLAST this Friday, June 19 at noon. Officer Stanbro will explain his duties as Head K-9 Trainer and those of his K-9 partner during this informative family program.

( May 28, 2015) The theme for Summer Reading this year is EVERY HERO HAS A STORY. To get things started we invite children of all ages to stop in any time between 10 am and 4 pm on Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th to participate in fun and creative SUPERHERO activities and games. Each child should bring an XL or XXL adult tee shirt (one you do not want back as a tee shirt) and we will show you how to transform it into a superhero cape and mask. Among the several other additional activities are creating a Superhero identity and taking pictures in the superhero photo spot. Parents, grandparents, or a caregiver should accompany children to assist them in the activities.
The library will be closed this coming Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. No library materials checked out from this library are due on any day that the library is closed.
