Ready to Rumble?

(October 30, 2013)  Monday, Monday, Monday, at 7:00 pm at the library.   It's author Dale Pierce and wrestling in Northeast Ohio.  Thrill to tales of professional wrestling's glory days and the exploits of The Sheik, Zoltan the Great, The Smoking Guns, Bull Curry, Killer Brooks, and many more.  Fun for all ages. Folding chairs not provided.

Library Book Sale--$1 a Bag

(October 12, 2013)  The Library Book Sale concludes with the popular bag sale.   What treasures still await?  Fill a regular-size grocery bag for just $1; and if you find more books you'd like, fill another bag for another $1.  And repeat.  The library appreciates your support.  Proceeds from the sale help fund library programs and the purchaseof new materials for you to check out and enjoy. 

Library Book Sale Starts Saturday

(October 1, 2013)   The library's fall book sale begins this Saturday, October 5, at 10:00 am and will run all week through the following Saturday, October 12.   Books for all ages and interests are sold at reasonable prices to support library programs and the purchase of new materials for you to check out and enjoy.  The sale is open during library business hours and new items are added every day.

Register to Vote @ Your Library

(September, 25, 2013) October 7 is the deadline to register to vote in this November's election.   The library has Voter Registration and Information Update forms as well as the Request for Absentee Ballot forms avalable at the Adult Services Desk for you pick up and fill out.  We are happy to mail those forms to the Ohio Secretary of State's Office for you. 

Library Book Sale Coming Soon

(September 19, 2013)  The library's fall book sale is just around the corner, and we will gratefully accept your donations of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and other similar materials during regular business hours.   Have a large donation?  Pull up to the drive-up window, ring the bell, and library staff will help you unload your vehicle.  Book sale proceeds support library projects and the purchase of new materials for you to check out and enjoy.  The book sale begins Saturday, October 5.

Apples, Apples, Apples Make & Take Art Program

(September 5, 2013)  Don't miss the Library's Make & Take Art Program, "APPLES, APPLES, APPLES!" on Saturday, September 21 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Get in the mood for fall with this Family Fun Art Special. Participants will create three different pieces of art, all involving apples.  Projects will include drawing an apple while exploring its contours; stamping a picture with cut apples; and molding an apple sculpture using self hardening clay. Yes, you will draw them, stamp them, and mold them all in one afternoon!   Designed for all members of the family age 6 and up. Parents are encouraged to attend. Space is limited so sign up soon at the Youth Services desk or by calling 330-868-4101.

Bigfoot in Ohio!

(August 30, 2013)  Saturday, September 7, the members of the Genoskwa Project will visit the library with their multi-media program about Bigfoot.  Video, audio recordings, and still photographs!  Plaster foot casts, and a replica Bigfoot almost eight feet tall!  Following the presentation there will be a question and answer period as well as the opportunity for the audience to share their stories and speak to the researchers one-on-one.
