Landscaping Improvement!

Landscaping Volunteers!(June 24, 2013) Have you noticed the attractive landscaping around the library lately? You can thank the hard-working members of the Mudlake Beavers 4-H Chapter and some Minerva High School football players who spent a very busy Tuesday morning at the library weeding, trimming, edging, and mulching.  They started before 8:00 and were finished by noon; the results speak for themselves.  A big thank-you to Louanne Kiko who organized and directed this project.

Meyers Lake Revisited

(June 24, 2013) Join us on Monday, July 1, at 2:00 pm as Kimberly Kenney of the McKinley Museum presents a nostalgic journey back to Canton’s favorite place for amusement and recreation.  This fully illustrated slide lecture traces the history of Canton's "crown jewel," from a refreshing watering hole in the newly carved wilderness to the active theme park it became in later years.  Nostalgic images explore the rides, bathhouse, dance floor, and more!  The presentation will also include an audio clip of the infamous Laffing Lady, and some live recordings from The Moonlight Ballroom.
