Join us in the Youth Department on Wednesday, August 28 for a morning of farm-themed crafts and activities! No registration is required, but all little farmers and farmhands must be accompanied by an adult. For ages 0-5.

On your mark... get set... LEGO!

Youth in Kindergarten and up are invited to create with the library's collection of LEGO sets in Youth Services on Saturday, September 14 from 2-3:30 PM. Parents and other caretakers are encouraged to attend.

If you're in 6th grade through 12th grade, drop by Youth Services to play a variety of video games, board games, and more!

Scream, shout, and snack along to the 1991 Addams Family movie with a free bag of goodies at this interactive screening.  

Looking for something to do after school gets out? Drop by the MPL Community Room in Youth Services every school day afternoon at any point between 2:15-3:15 PM for games, crafts, and other fun! For 6th-12th graders. 

Drop by to make a graham cracker Halloween House on Saturday, October 12! Please bring 1 cup of candy to share. Registration opens on September 21 and is strongly advised to secure a spot. Youth under 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

A speaker from the Western Reserve Historical Society will present Eliot Ness in Cleveland.  After his career busting up bootleggers with the Untouchables, Ness served as Safety Director for the City of Cleveland from 1935-1942.  The sixth largest city in the country at the time, Cleveland was booming and so was crime.

Where do our moving pictures come from? Mandy Altimus Stahl will lead audiences through the birth of the motion picture to the early narrative films of the 1900s, through the 1920s just before "talkie" sound films were invented.
