Minerva Public Library Closed

In response to the current public health emergency, the Minerva Public Library Board of Trustees has authorized the Library Director to close the library building to the public from Tuesday, March 17 until Monday, April 6.  The library Board and staff would prefer that the library be open and it services available to you during this difficult time; however, after careful consideration, the it seems that the need for social distancing as way to control the spread of COVID-19 makes it a good idea for the library to close the building.  Service at the library’s drive-up window during the closure will be available Monday to Friday from noon until 5:00 pm.  Library patrons are encouraged to call the library and request materials for pick up at the window, or to place holds online for later pick up.  In addition, patrons should check out the vast collection of downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music, and video available from the Ohio Digital Library and Hoopla.  These services are free to anyone with a Minerva Public Library Card, and may be accessed through the Digital Library on the library’s website at www.minervalibrary.info.  Library staff will be available by phone weekday afternoons if you need help getting started with downloadable content.  Library staff will also offer additional suggestions for online recreation and education via the library’s website and social media.
