Library Announcement

8/20/2020

Minerva Public Library staff look forward to seeing students again this fall, and are happy to help them find library materials for schoolwork or for their own enjoyment.  However, during the pandemic, there are new library rules to help ensure the safety of library staff, adult library patrons, and students.

All students are required to wear masks while in the library, and food and drinks are not permitted. Seating is very limited and, in order to maintain social distancing, students are not allowed to sit on the floor in public areas of the building.  Students may not gather in front of the library doors or anywhere along the entrance path to the library.  Library occupancy is limited and, once that limit is reached, additional patrons can’t come into the building.

Because of these limitations, the library can’t be an after school student hangout or a waiting room for rides, and parents should make other arrangements for their children.  The library appreciates the cooperation of parents, caregivers, and students in following these rules to keep the library a safe and welcoming place for all library patrons.
