(August 4, 2011) Mango! Not the tropical fruit or the annoying Saturday Night Live character, but an innovative online tool for learning a foreign language. It's available to you for free through the Ohio Web Library. All you need is a library card and access to the world wide web. Whether you want to brush up your skills before a trip abroad, or want a complete, in-depth course to learn a new language, Mango will get you there.
(August 4, 2011) Like to knit or crochet? The Minerva Knitters hold their last meeting of the summer on Monday, August 8 from 6:30-7:30 in the library's Board Room. It's a chance to chat and knit with like-minded folks. All skill levels are welcome.
(July 23, 2011) The library is closed today, Saturday, July 23, due to a power outage caused by last night's storm. The library's phone system is disabled and will not be repaired until Monday. The library will reopen Monday, July 25, at 10:00 am. No library materials are due on days that the library closed.

Book Beginnings story time meets every Wednesday from 10:30-11 for children ages 0-3 and their caregivers. (June 13, 2011) In conjunction with the annual Minerva Homecoming festivities, the library will hold a summer book sale from Wednesday, June 15 through Saturday, June 18. Books are for sale at reasonable prices that will appeal to a variety of ages and interests. Proceeds from the sale support library programs and the purchase of new materials for you to check out and enjoy.
(June 13, 2011) As is its custom, the library will close at 5:00 pm this Wednesday, June 15, so that staff and library patrons may enjoy the Minerva Homecoming Parade.
(June 7, 2011) Local author Wayne Vinson will visit the library Monday, June 13, from 5:00-8:00 pm to meet interested readers and sign copies of his new book Tax Collectors and Other Sinners. Mr. Vinson's novel is a thrilling tale of violence and intrigue with a lot of local flavor, and he will have copies of the book for sale. Now retired, the author was for many years the federal tax collection supervisor for several counties in Northeast Ohio, and he makes good use of his experiences in his book. At 7:00 pm, Mr.
(June 1, 2011) Good news for folks who access the Internet on library computers. We have replaced all 15 public computers with newer, faster machines. The computers run an Intel 2.1 Ghz, core duo processor with 2 gigabytes of RAM, and all public computers now have Microsoft Office 2010. The library is very pleased to provide this vast improvement over the motley assortment of computers patrons had been using for some time now, including 7 computers that were around ten years old.
